Having just completed a highly successful set of appearances in a semi staged production of Iolanthe in San Francisco, we grabbed five minutes of Alfie Boe’s time to ask a few questions…
A phrase/word I use too often is…
Cheers! Said instead of goodbye and also when I have a pint in my hand.

A common misperception about me is…
That I’m from Italian origin because of my middle name. I’ll let you try and find out my middle name

My biggest fear is…
Don’t know this one, I try not to think of things like that if I can help it.

The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given was…
To have my voice trained at college this was given to me by a very dear singer friend of mine, who sadly is not with us anymore, Richard Van Allen. Cheers Richard!

My idea of the perfect weekend is…
Curry on a Friday night, movie on a Saturday night, and a Sunday roast.

One thing I can’t live without is…
Family!

The quirkiest thing about me is…
Because I play the drums also, I like to tap out beats on anything I can find, can be a little annoying.
