Patron of Huddersfield Youth Opera

Alfie has agreed to become patron of the newly formed Huddersfield Youth Opera.

Huddersfield Youth Opera aims to create an opera production in the autumn of each year to provide a vehicle in the north for emerging young opera professionals to showcase their talents.

On September 25th 2010, they will launch the organisation with a gala concert of opera scenes in Huddersfield. They will then invite opera companies and journalists to help advance the careers of the performers in addition to influential figures and potential funders to promote the staged productions of subsequent years.

Alfie is looking forward to his association with the company and to promoting young opera talent.
