Romeo and Juliet

Hi everyone,

As you know I am going to be playing the role of Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet at the Royal Opera House later in the year. Most Tenor roles that I’ve played have been the typical romantic lead but this is an opportunity to be the opposite. 

Tybalt is quite the wild man of the piece, he’s a guy who likes to lead the pack in revolt.  His rage against Romeo shows with a tremendous fight in the third act which results in his death, so early to bed for me then. The role has a great aria and also chorus scene with wonderful music. I hope you enjoy it and always a pleasure to meet you after the shows.
