Les Mis dates message from Neil – 9 January 2011

Hi everyone
 
I know a lot of you are getting quite anxious because we haven’t as yet announced the dates for Alfie returning to Les Mis – Its simple, I can’t tell you yet because I haven’t actually signed the contract and that’s because there are some details still being sorted out – plus we have to work out what additional concerts we need to do during the run of Les Mis and agree them with Cameron Mackintosh, so that Alfie is free to do them.  There are also a couple of other issues being dealt with in the next week or so, which will determine when we need to start rehearsal and therefore when the start date will be.  Having said that, I can tell you that 3rd Dec is likely to be the last show; I can also tell you that Alfie will be performing 6 x shows per week, but again we have not yet agreed which shows they will be.  Finally, its likely to be starting towards the end of June.
 
As soon as we have it all nailed down and I sign the contract, I will of course let you know.  Everything else I’m afraid is speculation.

    I’m just beside myself with excitement! Since buying the 25th anniversary DVD on 23rd December it has been watched at least twice a day every say since & my children ask to have it on instead of their programs. We all sit listening while we eat dinner & have a little sing along.
    Alfie is fantastic & we can’t wait to come and see you :)

    As with it seems a lot of people, I became aware of Alfie after watching his performance on the Les Mis 25th Anniversary DVD. I was planning to go and see Les Mis for my 17th birthday which is in 16 days, I am very very glad to hear Alfie is returning to play Val Jean and I am definitely prepared to wait until June if not later to see Les Mis as long as Alfie is involved. Thank you so much for introducing me to Les Mis, making my Christmas day bearable (as thats when I received the DVD) and being an inspiration. All the best!

    as soon as i heard, i have booked my tickets. i know the dates are not realised yet, but we thought it we left it till the last minute then everyone would go crazy and buy loads. and it is for my 19th birthday. so fingers crossed Alfie is going to be there he is absolutely fantastic!

    Heard you on Steve Wright 2nd Feb and have been trying to find out dates for your appearance in Les Mis for a little while. Saw you at the O2 which was awesome and have seen the show 8 times already but must now see it again with you in it. Understand you are doing 6 performances each week now from end of June.
