Laura Wright to join Alfie in Jersey and Guernsey concerts August 2011
Singer Laura Wright will be joining Alfie at his concerts in Jersey and Guernsey this month.
Laura Wright, 21, was previously part of the female vocal quartet All Angels, but has recently released her own album ‘The Last Rose’
The concerts will take place on 21 August at the Gloucester Hall, Fort Regent in St Helier and on 7 August at Sir John Loveridge Hall, St Peter Port, Guernsey.
Laura will open the concert with tracks from her new album and will also duet with Alfie later in the shows.
Alfie said: “I am delighted Laura will join us for our concerts in Guernsey and Jersey and I know everyone will love the quality of her voice and personality.
“I know she will add greatly to the evening.”

Alfie’s right! This will be wonderful! Laura has the most beautiful voice. ‘The Last Rose of Summer’ from her album is so calming. Would love to be there to hear the duet.

I just went to youtube to find her – great choice, she has a really beautiful voice – I can only imagine how beautiful the duets will be and wish I could be there to hear them…
Blow, I’m in Guernsey in September…….bet the concert is already sold out ! How lovely that the Channel Island folk get a visit from Alfie, he certainly tries to keep everyone happy!
What a lovely voice. She & Alfie will sound wonderful together. Should be fantastic concerts. Hopefully someone will video parts & post on utube so Alfie’s fans in the States will be able to enjoy it, too…Please!!! Marilyn H.
FaBOElus news!
Should be a fantastic night!
Really looking forward to the concert on Sunday here in Guernsey. Went to see Les Miserables on Saturday 23rd July the show was amazing.
Very disappointed with this. If I had looked more deeply on his website which it shouldn’t have been neccessary for me to do, before I booked tickets for Les Miseables I would not have booked for 6th August. Obviously he was in Guensey rehearsing that night. It was not widely advertised on booking the theatre and I feel many fans were let down with his non-appearance which appears to have been arranged months before. Not a very professional move in my mind. He would have done better to make sure that these dates were more widely known
Brilliant show (Guernsey), Both Laura and Alfie were amazing! Oh and the duet was Come What May.
Absolutely awesome, worth every penny to sit at the front. Alfie engages so well with his audience and it shows on his face how much he enjoyed himself. Laura has a lovely voice and mustn’t forget the orchestra who were great too. I hope he comes back next year!!
Amazing show, both voices stunning and to top it all I even went on stage myself!! What a night…massive thanks and congratulations to Alfie and Laura for a brilliant performance xxx
The Guernsey show was fantastic and Laura has a beautiful voice.
But we mustn’t forget the FABULOUS conductor and orchestra.
Come back soon, don’t forget your little bit of bling?
Just read these amazing comments about the Guernsey show. How lucky am I to have tickets for this Sunday’s performance here in Jersey. I am going to the show with my husband Keith and our good friend Jason who is over from London. He recently lost his partner Stephen to cancer and Les Mis was his favourite musical. He must have seen it more times than anyone I know. He would have loved to see this show. This will be a very special night for us all. Can’t wait to see you Alfie! xx
Last night, here in Jersey, it was definitely “Some Enchanted Evening” with you Alfie. Loved every second with you and also loved seeing your beautiful daughter Gracie. Come back soon!
Superb concert in Jersey from a lovely man with a gorgeous voice. Great interaction with the audience and congratulations to Molly who joined Alfie on stage for The Impossible Dream. Sang my favourite from Bring him home – We have all the time in the World. Looking forward to the new album and also to seeing Alfie in Les Mis on the 22nd October. Please come back to Jersey soon – even within 10 minutes – Alfie will know what I mean!!!!
