Clive Anderson hosts Maestro's next studio challenge as five famous amateurs with a passion for classical music do battle with their batons conducting the BBC Concert Orchestra. In the fourth round the students step up to the podium to conduct a programme of popular operatic arias sung by soloists Alfie Boe and Rebecca Evans in front of the panel of expert judges - conductors Sir Roger Norrington and Simone Young, double bassist Dominic Seldis, composer and cellist Zoe Martlew.

I am really enjoying this show - it's very interesting to see how the celebrities are progressing. They announced at the end of last week's show that Alfie (and another singer) would be singing on next week's show, although as Bradley Walsh has now been knocked out, he won't be conducting Alfie. I'm looking forward to seeing his performance though. Smile

AHHHH thanks for the link to watch them after Teebee, I have rehersals for a show at Chatsworth House tonight and havn't figured out how to set my new video recorder thing yet.
p.s. I'd love to know how you all got your photos taken with Alfie to put on here, would love one with him from the show in Nottingham. Very Happy Embarassed

Very Happy Hello Margaret, keep meaning to pop by classicX as I'm on there but I'm not sure what to say Very Happy

I'm bouncing as my tickets for December are on the way Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy row E stalls five rows from the front WHOOOPPEEE

Will look forward to seeing this tv show don't watch much so didn't know it was on and I enjoy watching conductors at work my favorite being Von Karajan. So will be fun to see what they can do with Alfie Very Happy

yes he was suberb, love the performance. I have entered a competition that is on classic fm to go and see him perform in a concert that is on the albert hall. Very Happy I think he was very handsome, last night. Very Happy
